Brewing Iced Tea
1. Pour cold water into a pitcher filled with 3 cups (710 ml). Pour your liquid into a pitcher big enough to hold at least four cups (950 ml). Three cups (710 ml) of filtered water or cold faucet water should be added to it.
- While preparing the tea, you can chill the pitcher of water in the fridge.
2. Prepare a heat-proof glass by filling it with fresh hot water (240 ml). In a kettle, put 1 cup (240 ml) water on high heat and boil until it reaches the desired temperature. Fill a heat-resistant glass with the mixture.
- To ensure that you can pour all of the water into the glass while still having space for the tea, make sure the glass is big enough.
3. In a saucepan, boil 4 teabags or three tablespoons (3 g) of loose leaf tea for three to five minutes. Pour the mug of water over the tea leaves and steep the tea together for as long as possible. Green tea should be steeped for 3 minutes, whereas black tea should be steeped for 5 minutes.
- Use 5 minutes to steep any tea other than green or black tea.
